Keep in mind that everything in the review chapter contains material that you should already know. Every year I have students who say...
"We never learned that!"
O.K. ...BUT... it's presented to you here and that means you are going to have learn it NOW. For some of you, it will be easy to remember things from last year. Other students may feel like they have never seen it... it's what I call "Summer Amnesia". If you are one of the students who has "Summer Amnesia" then you need to plan on getting extra help NOW. Everything you learn in Spanish is a building block! If you don't understand the basics of conjugating in the preterite, believe me that it will come back to haunt you in the 3rd quarter when we learn about the imperfect subjunctive. If you don't remember how to do commands, believe me it will come back to haunt you in the 3rd quarter when we learn the present subjunctive....and so on! Each new chapter contains at least one point of grammar that is review from last year and 2 other points they are new.
Last but not least, the 4th quarter we will take EVERYTHING that we have learned and apply it to reading an entire novel in SPANISH.
You can do this!
